For non-tel 65's, is there supposed to be any play at the steering wheel when you push it vertically up and down? The whole bell and hub jiggle up an down now with virtually no effort ... the shaft tube is fixed but the hub, bell and wheel swing up and down about 1/4" ... no side to side movement .... just up and down ... feels and looks weird.
I had not noticed this before a Corvette shop did an R&R on it to replace the shaft, bearings and turn signal assembly (plus pull the cluster for some other work).
Plus the wheel is no longer dead straight ... off about 2" and no wheel alignment was performed at this time.
Also the Bezel/Collar looks sloppy now protruding about 1/2 out and the nub behind it won't hold it ... they may have bent it or something. I had asked them to move the wheel back towards me a inch or so during the re-install and maybe that was a mistake?
The up and down looseness really concerns me. Thanks.
