C2/C3 Aftermarket rear spring bands

All the aftermarket springs I have seen come with the bands around the leaves. The original c2/c3 rear spring did not have said bands. Has anyone removed the bands? And if so, were there any problems?

No problems removing bands. They were designed to keep the springs in alignment prior to installing.

If you used the correct H-shaped liners between the leaves and the bolts near the center and ends are correctly tightened you will be fine without the bands.
