I'm experimenting with static suppression for my Wonderbar radio. Can't find parts with which to experiment. I remember that you used to be able to buy radio noise suppression kits at the FLAPS. Can't find them now. Shows you how old I am. I'm embarrassed to ask. Nobody'd know what an AM radio was.
I suspect the 1911095 capacitor on my generator is no good. This is the stock capacitor. It is listed as a .5 MF. I don't believe that these capacitors can be checked off the car. I was thinking of replacing it for test purposes.
What happens if I do this? Replace it with a Radio Shack uF 4.7 35v 20% radial-lead electrolytic capacitor? This part costs all of $.99.
