    1965 327-365 Distributor

Does anyone know the part number for the correct distributor for a '65 327-365? I am wanting to go back with the original distributor on my car. It came with a Mallory set-up on it when I got the car. Thanks.

      Thanks Don,

That's what I was needing. Mine does not have the original TI wiring so I am pretty sure it was not a TI car originally. I appreciate the help.

check for evidence of pulse amp mounting holes( three)---can't remember if they are located on innner skirt or core suppot--check judging manual or Ass. manual for location. lack of ti harness not the best way to rule-out ti application as the harness coulda been trashed in previous ownership. mike

          Dave -

The tach-drive non-F.I. point distributor housings are all the same; the only thing that differs among them are the calibration items (autocam, weights, springs, and vacuum advance unit) and the aluminum band. Any housing will work, set it up to spec and you're in business.

Thanks Mike and John for the guidance. This gives me a good start on things.

              If it wasn't obvious,

What John told you was to check out the advance curve on what you buy. Also, make sure it has the right vacuum can.

Those aluminum ID tags are cheap. Don't pay extra for an unknown quantity.

TI was on the Pass side of the core support in '65
