C2 Lower Ball Joints - Revisited

Okay, I'm not going to make the same mistake twice, and buy the wrong part on ebay! This ebay auction has part # 3886422, NOS C2 lower ball joints. I checked the archives and one post stated that this was a replacement and not correct. An earlier post indicated that this was a correct part. Would these be correct for 65?

    Thanks again!

C2 Lower Ball Joints; yes those are correct

    Don,

Yes, 3886422 is correct. They were available as the service replacement part starting in 1965.

      Thanks Gary!

I don't know what I'd do without the folks on this board that share their time and expertise.

      Thanks!

        Don,
If you don't get the NOS C2 lower BJs and want a good looking service replacement, you may want to check out AC Delco P/N 88911514. I purchased a pair of these for my '65 restoration project and had them riveted in. They are good looking, made in USA, and for about $30 each hard to beat.

The Judging Sheets specify that lower A arms, ball joints & hardware are only worth 5 originality points so I couldn't see pouring large amounts of money into NOS BJs from eBay.

        Good luck with your '65.

        Best regards,
        Gene
