I have a very original appearing '67 a/c coupe with a 4-speed and high option content including p/s. The engine code shows "HT". Recently, someone has challenged the authenticity claiming it should be an "HP". The NCRS Corvette Spec Guide and Nolan Adams' Restoration Guide show "HP" as a base motor with a/c, p/s, and a mt. The NCRS Pocket Spec Guide and the '67 Judging Manual show the "HP" as a 350 hp with a/c, p/s, and 4-spd. Which is correct?

Re: '67 small block engine codes
Allen - in the 4th editition page 72 of the 67 TIM&JG, HT is listed as a 327-350HP with no options. HP is listed as the 350HP with AC and PS. I have a 67 KH suffix which is 350HP, A.I.R., AC, and PS. Base motor 300hp with 4 spd are HE and HH (A.I.R.) codes. HO and HR(A.I.R.) codes are for powerglide. Apparently the base motor cars don't require engine plant changes requiring a suffix change to add AC and PS. It appears your engine is for a 350HP non AC and non PS car......Craig- Top
