I used John Deere "Blitz Black" and Krylon Semi flat #1613 Black.

        Black out inner fender wells

        Tony,

Since you've obviously looking into this issue, maybe you can tell me how much of the upper A-arm dust shield gets blacked-out? The entire shield on the engine side? Or only part of the periphery where the staples attach it to the inner fender?

        Thanks,

        Gary

Imagine a painter with a spray gun moving fairly fast and with a spray pattern that is about 8-10 inches wide. His goal is only to get the parts that count. It varies from car to car. His goal was also to cover any red or gray primer that happens to be hanging out where it was over-sprayed. It was not perfect. Interestingly enough, once the engine is in, it looks pretty good.

Just my opinion from what I have read and found on my own car, Terry

Re: Black out inner fender wells JDBB

I bought a can of JDBB a few weeks ago to do the underside of my 67 hood. The nozzle has been changed. It is no longer the better nozzle that gave a nice, wide spray pattern. This newer nozzle just put out a very small pattern like the cheaper spray bomb cans and just didn't give a good, smooth finish like the older type of cans did.
