71 Ign OFF continuous battery discharge

On a 71 350/270 AT -- with everything apparently OFF, there continues to be about a .1 Volt discharge per 24 hours. There are no aftermarket accessories or alarm system. Just wondering if this is a known or common problem and is there anything in particular that I should check for first?
Suggestions to trouble shoot gratefully received. Thanks.

The first place I would look is the center rear storage compartment. Make sure the button is depressed enough to turn out the light.

Bad diode in alternator will also discharge battery. If after checking the center compartment light as Sal said, I would start checking circuits by removing one fuse at a time until I found the circuit that was the culprit.

Yes, I have checked glovebox light and other courtesys, clock is stopped.
I would like to find the engineer that approved the location of the fuse box and make him crawl under there!! Thanks for your suggestions.

Check the "wiper service switch", the black wheel under the steering column between the wiper door and headlight vacuum overrides. Often, if you leave it "OFF", or use it to operate your wipers, it will cause a battery drain. Chuck
