Pic Of 327 W/Powerglide Vac Line....

Would anyone happen to have a pic of a 66 or 67 327 engine showing the PowerGlide vacuum steel modulator line and dipstick tube routing/position as they pass under the distributor shielding? Trying to help a neighbor and I've only owned a few PG cars in my whole life so I'm not famaliar with this. I believe the mod line has a "whoop" in it just before it goes back toward the coil??? Thanks,

    Michael

Michael. As luck would have it, I just solved that problem on my '67 PG car this weekend. None of the repro shops (paragon/corvette central) sell these steel tubes. I took my old one and rebend a matching new one to conform to the old profile. If that interests you, I'll shoot a photo and email it to you. Please provide me with your email address.

You've helped me plenty in the past, so I'm glad to reciprocate.
    Best to you.
    Tony

        Hi Mike:

Here's a photo of how I installed mine on my 67 after having everything apart and being in the same spot you are. I studied the AIM and some photos in the Nolad Adams book and the Dobbins book, but I'm still not 100% sure this is correct. However, there does seem to be an intentional bend that fits nicely around the dipstick tube. It fits less well if I route the line on the other side of the dipstick tube.

I'll be interested to hear from others whether this looks correct....
