    1970 LT-1 Authentication HELP

I am not knowledgeable on 1970 corvettes, only an old NCRS JG. A friend of mine has found a 1970 LT-1 coupe for sale. He says the Broach marks and stamping look original to him. It is painted the wrong color(white)should be green, but the interior(saddle) jives with the trim tag. There is no documentation on this car, except for maybe a tank sticker, if it is still there. The A.I.R. is missing and now has headers but the exhaust manifolds come with the car. The current owner claims to have owned this car for the last 18 years. If we scour this car from redlines to the engine components, top to bottom, one by one, for dates and numbers WHAT else will definitively tell us it is a factory REAL LT-1 from GM. Please Respond with any experience/suggestions. Thank You! Dick Gutman
