Own a 64 VetteSaddle on Saddle Very correct car however trim tag indicates leather int.. I have owned car for 30 years and the seats are vinyl and the center console is leather. The vinyl is getting a little rough plus I would like to return to the correct leather. I have seen Al Knoch Leather package in Saddle, The color looks a bit off. Should I look elsewhere or will the color work o.k. with the Saddle Tan #932 paint on the car.Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

63 center armrest was not leather covered
Even if the seats were leather covered. I believe the leather center armrest is an aftermarket invention and that 1964, 1965 and 1966 were configured the same. My 63 is original leather seats and center armrest is vinyl.

PS Unless you use a spectrophotometer to measure the color match of Al's Saddle color, I don't think you will locate anything closer. -

The 63 model year was the only one of the 63-66 group that used a vinyl covered center cushion when leather interior was ordered. The 64-66 cushion would also have been in leather if the car had the leather option.Comment

I have not boned out a 1964, 1965 or 1966 since at least 1975 and plead temporary insanity. Your memory is much more lucid and probably more accurate than mine.

...one of the other members that is familiar with all of the reproduction interior products available for your 64 should be able to help on this. I do know that years back, no one was able to correctly match the 63-64 Saddle leather color properly but I would think that someone would have it nailed down by now.Comment

Like Geoffery, Al's covers are the best out there, both in color and quality. No one else comes close. It would be hard to compare a set of covers that are 40 years old with new. Colors fade, as they also vary between lots when manufacturedDick WhittingtonComment
