I just received the purple cover TM&JG, and the table of options has a footnote that the rear window defogger was coupes only, as in '68.
My June '69 build convertible is equipped with the defogger, and is reflected on the tank sticker. I believe Bizzoco's book also discusses the availability of the defogger for convertibles.
