      Re: Sportsman class

If you girly men would get rid of your puny screens and get a MAN-sized screen, it would look just fine!

It is the luck of Geocities. They used to not allow forwarding of images, but apparently they do now, as I posted another one elsewhere. But this one looked fine on the website and even when I pulled up the image alone (link below), but obviously I must have uploaded a huge file back 7 years ago when I did it.

Or maybe I could use the excuse, the car is bigger than life?

        Oops, the updates got me.

I see why it looked fine when I pulled the link up, my IE has been reset to resize the pictures automatically.

I got an update from work a few weeks ago, and they have screwed up a lot of my settings. Heck, I can't even get pictures in half my emails, and unfortunately, many of them are work-related and are supposed to have pictures.

          Re: Sportsman class

If it walks and talks like a Duck then it's a Duck. If it look like a Corvette and you pay for secure parking , your a Sportsman.
Driving our 55 while pulling a trailer to Utah 650 miles did help in getting a Top Flight , having 113,000 miles seance restoring it 25 years ago, with a bubble top, two part paint, wire wheels and many many accessories added also, should show people if you have a nice clean real original all parts and numbers Corvette ,you can compete with Trailered Corvettes.
OK it will never be a 100 point Corvette, never could be even if new! I now, just me ! would never wont one!
Cant see never driving it and showing it once or twice a year, what fun it that??
It has a little oil leak, dust , grease , wear and tear and over spray paint and chalk marks are missing which I lost points on BUT driving it is worth more then all the awards I could ever get.
And I'm in an elite class of people talking about the fun with others who drive them. We who drive them still think their worth a few bucks ,even tho we don't Trailer them.
I get mail when I say Trailered Corvette people and driven Corvette people don't talk the same languish, because it's like people that have kids and those that don't.
I've said it many times=and I'm not alone saying it , NCRS should have a driven flight class only,( only flight class ) which would increase membership greatly I think and encourage those that trailer (after getting all the awards that are out there) to drive their Corvettes again enjoying them all over.

I knew that would wake you up. Haven't heard much from you here since you put the '67 up.

              Larry,
I find your question and the replies very informative. I have never taken my 1967 to an NCRS event because it has some modifications that appeal to me but are not the proverbial "correct." Perhaps I will re-think that position for the 2006 driving season.

                OK mike!
Your right! only a few so called Corvette experts wonted to know why I put the 55 in judging as tho it was not up to (their) standers. But watching people react to it was was positive like in Berkeley getting the ladies choice award, and 99% of all non-Corvette people love it and most Corvette owners at Utah like it also.
I've been there, done that, seen it and heard it all! over that last 35 years. It did once matter greatly to me once a long time ago,now I'm happy with what I have and do ,happy with what ever some one els may have or do.
On the 67 every one is looking for a RAT motor Corvette which I'm beginning to see and think 99% of them must have been a 427 engine or L88 Corvette , they only "now" trust Corvette dealers that tell them this or that along with all the documentation they would ever wont and RED.
May be next summer I'll try again when all the BB are bought up and only little blocks are left and not Red.
I do love my 67,even with the add on Vintage Air.
