I have a 1969 Corvette coupe with an interior trim code 427 which is a green. I purchased a complete Al Knoch interior kit including the dash pad. My local PPG distributer is having trouble matching the original green color. I have tried to get help from Al Knoch but without much sucess. Can someone provide me with a satisfactory paint mix? Thanks, Art Ives 37880

Re: C3 Interior Paint
These paint code questions come up frequently and, like a stuck record, I tell folks to steer their browser to www.autocolorlibrary.com. If you navigate there, tell the web site you have a Chevrolet, select 1969 for the years and watch the original PPG color chip data FLASH onto your screen!
Note there are two pages with page one showing you exterior colors by PPG blend code and Chevy color code number. Now, select page two and the various PPG blend codes appear for interior usage. Note Corvette has its own table separate from Chevy passenger car. Use your exterior Chevy color code (983, Fathom Green) instead of your upholstery code (427) to navigate the interior paint table.
Dump the information to your printer and then go ask your painter or your PPG distributor why they couldn't help you when this information is put into public domain (no charge) by another PPG distributor....- Top

Re: C3 Interior Paint
Unfortunately, many PPG dealers are not customer oriented. The local dealer wouldn't help me with obtaining basic black lacquer which was available from PPG. I had to drive 40 miles to another PPG dealer who was willing to order the paint. I complained to PPG, but they didn't care.- Top
