I am embarassed to report that the can was marked B-1: I bought, but had not installed, the B-28. I installed the B-28, rubber banded the weights, hooked up the timing gun and the mighty vac and measured zero at 4" and 15 at 8". With the can hooked up to manifold vacuum and idle at 800-850 the gun reads 30 degrees.

Okay, could you do one favor for me?

With the 30 degrees of total idle timing you report with the B28 can could you tee the Mighty Vac into the vacuum can signal line and tell me your idle vacuum @ idle speed? Make sure the car is fully warmed up - like after at least 15-20 minute of normal in town driving.

I'm a few months away from in-town driving, but I'll warm it up, tee in and record the idle vacuum.

Temperature gauge reads 190. Idle 800-850, advance 30 degrees, vacuum is 14-15" Hg. (Needle bounces)
