Just a question rgarding the oil pressure line, is it copper or steel, and does it do a curly cue(sorry couldn't come up with a better word) before it goes through the firewall to the gauge? Thanks...

Re: '65 Oil Pressure Line
Copper has very low fatigue resistance, so I makes for an extremely poor material in a vibration environment. As Bill said, the line is made of steel but appears to be copper because of the plating. Why it is plated in this manner rather than a more conventional cad has always been a mystery to me. Does anyone know the story of have any ideas?

Ah ha!
Copper plating!
I've thought for years that somebody had installed a brass tube in my '73 and I had put replacing it with an original on my 'roundtoit list.
Thanks Duke!
