I have a 1974 C3 454 vette. I bought it used. So I didn't see the engine set up from the factory. Apparently the previous owner had removed the AIR pump from this engine. Every parts store that I have visited has told me that this engine should have an AIR pump. My question is what size air conditioning belt do I need for this engine without an AIR pump? I know there is one because the car had a functioning belt when I bought it.

Thanks for getting back to me. You bring up an interesting thought.I bought this car out a divorce settlement in 1976. The folks involved couldn't reach a settlement. So their lawyers got together and sold all of their assets; including a home under construction that had a roof but no walls. Just bare 2 X 4's The guy that had it was a CPA. I doubt if he would have removed the AIR pump himself. I'll check the emissions label tonight.- Top

Re: Air Conditioning belt
If you're interested in original style belts for your '74 (not sure about the correct markings and GM numbers), I had the best luck for locating the right AC, Alt., and Water Pump to Crank belts at Doc Rebuild.- Top
