    power steering pulley

I am trying to remove the pulley from my '67 power steering pump. Before I lean on it too much is it a regular thread or reverse thread? Also where can I get the pump rebuilt?

    Chuck,

It is regular thread. Mine was difficult to remove, and I had a friend with a pneumatic socket remove it, so I wouldn't end up chewing up the nut. It came off quickly with the air tool.

        Chuck-----

The original nut was a special self-locking type nut.

Also, after the nut is removed, you will likely require a special puller to remove the pulley. They usually don't come off as easily as they go on.

Thanks for the info Joe. I decided to just send the whole thing to Van Steel and let them restore the whole works.
