    Original Teak Wheel

    Hi,
I just came in to possession of an original 66 teak wheel that was removed from a totaled vette back in the early 70s.It is in near mint condition never having been restored, ect.Actually the owner had it hanging on his family room wall all these years.I noticed though it has no poly type finish,is this proper for an original? If so should I put any finish or a conditioner on it.Looking for some good advice as I have been told that this is quite a valuable item and I want to do the right thing with it.
    Thanks members.
