C2-1966 Grill Brackets

Could some one please tell me the correct orientation of the rivets that are used to attach the grill mounting brackets to the grill. I've seen many different pictures and I am not sure what is correct. In particular, what direction do the rivets insert through the bracket and into the grill. Hope this make sense. THanks in advance for any help.

Bob,

The grill brackets (four) are riveted to the front of the inner fender panel.

The rivets are installed from the rear.

Thanks for the feedback and the great pictures, Mark. Actually though I was wondering about the brackets that attach to the grill itself. There are two rivets used per side. One on the top of the grill and one on the bottom. I was wondering which way they are inserted. Thanks again.

I took this picture a while ago. You can make out the bracket and barely one of the rivets. Maybe this will help.

The 66 AIM shows them as being installed from the top. UPC 11-13 Sheet B2
