    C1 License plate bumpers

    Hi all,

During judging my car my license plate bumpers were judged as being not correct (due to the shape of the top).

I doubt if this is indeed the case (see picture) since they weren't replace for as far as I can track the history of the car back. Can someone verify/clearify this (if needed with additional pictures of repro's versus original)?

    thanks,
    Rob.

    Rob--
    Looks mighty good to me.
Look in from the backside. Is it two halves welded together, or is it a stamped single piece? Two halves--repro. One piece--original.
There are also variations on the depth of the stamping on the inner sides where the backing plate bolts to the bumperettes. But there were also differences within the originals.

repos differ from originals in manner of bracketry welded to main body of the bumperette. believe the 61-2 judging manual describes the weld differences. mike
