61-62 Tire Iron

I've got a tire iron that is correct in every way for 61-62 except for the bend or hook on the end. Can the end be bent without heating it? Do you think that if I hammered it cold over an anvil that it would bend in such a way that it would look like the manufacturer did it? How did the manufacturer do it?

i'd heat it then bend it over the anvil. try to retain the "sheared" appearance of the three sides of the end you're bending. good luck, mike
