Wow! You had quite an experience here. Of course, it's the kind no one wants to have. I've had a few "close calls" with deer, myself. The last time it happened was quite a few years ago, though, when I was driving on Highway 120 through Yosemite National Park and over the High Sierras AT NIGHT. I don't do that too often, but I did it that time because I was trying to make it home (on a 980 mile, 1-day drive).

    The curved bridge

    Hey Joe,

You're talking about my turf. Highway 120 near Yosemite across the Sierra's.
Do you remember the big curved bridge over the Tuolumne River. I worked on that in 1970. My first job in California.

Did major front end damage on a 70 El Camino with a deer there.

Thanks for the help on Don Paulino, I think I'm almost there.

Yes, I know it well; I've driven that road many times. I used to drive it once or twice a year. I haven't been over it lately because I only want to do it in my 1969 and that project has been delayed so long it's pitiful.

I'd say that you have a good lead in tracking that fellow down, even if the phone number was inactive at the present. The exact name match (for an uncommon name like this) and age match pretty well says this is the guy. So, I'd say that if you can track him down from one of these addresses, you'll have him found.

It's very possible that the Houston address is the older address and the Humble address is the more recent.

And just before the bridge going west

is a 3 mile section, straight as an arrow and with little grade. The day before the road opened in 1971, I did 135 mph, or there abouts on that section, Mocassin to Stent-Jacksonville Road, in my 67 327/300Hp. I would have pushed it a little more, but the front end was starting to drift all over the 40' newly paved section, and the convertible top was roaring for me to slow down. Plus I was worried about the Michelins.

Our construction office was in the town of Jacksonville, now a couple of hundred feet under water.

You ought to try the stretch in your 69, but I advise that it is now a known speedway by the CHP.

The curved bridge is about 1500' long, on about a 1000' radius, and with an 8% super-elevation which you will probably never see today (for liability reasons).
It has a hump in the middle, but that's a whole different story.

On my quest, I'm back to Scranton, PA, with the name and address of, I think, a relative on the same street as Don had on, guess what,--- his POP.
