    Eary '57 transmission

I am restoring a '57 and have questions about what is judged on my manual 3-speed tranny built Oct. of '56. The NCRS Judging Guide says that the transmission manufacturing code stampings will not be judged. what exactly is judged?? thanks...

the judges will look to see that its got a vette tailhousing to mount the shifter( i've seen shifters attached to pass car tailhousings with a couple of monster U-bolts). if you proceed to PV the car, an austute PV judge will want to be certyain the 3 speed still has its close ratio gears. mike
