    '66 spare tire tub attachment

Do the correct(original) 1/2", recessed, hex head bolts that hold the spare tire tub to the frame have integral washers, or were they separate? If I read the JM correctly, it mentions separate. The ones on my car are black/gray phosphate with attached washers.

    Rob,

Funny, the 67 JM calls for black phosphate 1/2" hex head bolts with integral washers as you describe. My late 67 had 5/16" x 1/2" long recessed hex head bolts with separate washers with "E" head markings. I managed to lose two of them, and got Paragon Replacements with "RBW" markings with separate washers. Finish on the replacements was zinc plated so I blackened them. I think E and RBW were the same vendor.
