C3 water pump and other Q's

I have an original 1968 water pump...and need someone capable of rebuilding, any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in NJ so someone local is better but not required.

Also, I am trying to locate the following original parts for a late build (July) 1968 Corvette 427/390 big block with a 4 speed:

    Rochester Carburetor #7028209
    Intake Manifold (Winters) #3937793

Any ideas on where to look or who to call would be appreciated.

Tom try Neal Bridges of St. Petersburg, Fl. for the carburetor, 727-804-0966, he has large inventory and knows the correct numbers for your car, great guy too. Good luck!

I'm just finishing up restoration of my 68 coupe. I purchased my rebuilt correct numbered and date coded water pump from Moto Parts Exchange Company in Commerce California 213-888-1001 2311 South Eastern Avenue. Don't know if they are still in business. I just pulled out the slip. I think there is a gentleman in the NCRS Drive Line by the name of Bill Mock who rebuilds them.
As for the carburetor, I paid way to much money for mine so I don't want to send you down that road (over $1000)
Try Hemmings Motor news, you can find the right part number as well as the correct date code probably much cheaper than i did.
There is also a carburetor expert that I used to tune my Rochester and he is a magician

This guy has written papers on Rochesters and loves them and can make them perform like a swiss watch.
He might be able to tell you where to get the specific carb you want.
Turnaround time was quick and he tests each carb on a vehicle before he returns it and then send you a paper describing exactly what was done and all the calibration statisitics for future use.
      Good luck

        Tom -

An excellent water pump rebuilder close to you is Arthur Gould, in Fort Salonga, New York, (631) 269-0093. About $65.00, 3-day or less turnaround.
