    C2 or C3 Engine Question

Hi, I'm trying to find out what this engine would be worth. The engine number is T0210R and is believed to have come out of a '62 or '63 vette. The engine ran good when it was pulled from the car. It has been sitting in a garage covered up for many years so will have to be rebuilt. Can anyone tell me what to offer for this engine? Or where I might find this type of information? The owner has passed away and I'm dealing with the family. They have no idea what to charge for it. I want to give them a fair price. Thanks.

The "T" indicates the engine was built in Tonawonda. All Corvette engines in 62 - 63 were built in Flint. It is not a Corvette engine. I saw a listing for an engine on ebay last week claiming to be a Corvette engine with the T on it. That engine was for a passenger car.

The last character being an "R" indicates that the engine is a 327 cu.in. from a full size 1962 Chev. with manual transmission. The engine was built on Feb. 10th.

      Sorry.

Actually that R suffic block is a highly desirable block - with one exception. The T at the front is not a Corvette block. If that was an F with the R suffix, I'd offer $100 sight unseen.

While the engine may very well have come out of a 1962 or 1963 Corvette, it didn't originally reside there. It "took up residence there" sometime after the Corvette left St. Louis.
