    Painting 66 Dash Knobs

Anyone know any tricks on how to isolate and paint the center of a 66 dash knob?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Tape around the outside, lay the knob flat so you can spray straight down onto it, wipe the areas you don't want black with a paper towel wet with laquer thinner and a small screw driver. You can let the paint dry for awhile, it will still come off easily.

I did this just recently myself! Make a tube out of lightweight cardboard or heavy craft paper, like a toilet paper tube, that fits inside the rim of the knob. Tape off the rim itself. Mist the semi-flat paint in several passes.

I believe the factory used a similar technique since the edge of the original paint didn't extend all the way to the rim of the knob and was slightly irregular.
