    '63 COUPE DOOR WINDOW CHANNEL

I have 2 '63 coupes #484 & #2206. Both have door glass window channels that are attached to the doors with screws as opposed to the clips. The #484 car I have owned since 1976 and I truly believe has never been molested. Anyone know if this may be correct for early '63 coupes. Thx Frank #9561

    Hi Frank -

I need to confirm what you are describing. On my late '63 coupe, the rear channel is attached to the door by screws. The front channel is held against the vent window frame by two rivets and two clips. Are you saying that your front channel is held onto the vent window frame by screws? If so, this is new to me. Although attaching reproduction front channels to the vent frame using the rivets and clips is a real PITA because the repros are not formed (bent/curved) like the originals. I could easily see where someone would resort to screws.
