    holley # 4555 carburetor

    I have a original list #4555 LT1 holley dated 004. If the carburetor date is 1970 October 4th week how can this be a correct carburetor for a 1970 car? Didn't GM start with the 1971 model in September 1970?
    Any input is appreciated, Thanks

      Simple. It is a SERVICE carburetor for the 1970 applications manufactured on that date.
