1962 jack handle clip and pad

Can someone tell me the locations (inches from end of groove?) for installing the clip and foam pad for securing the jack handle and lug wrench in a 62? The trunk is already painted and I am not sure the position of those two items. Also, should they be the same color as the trunk (red)?. thanks

Hi Danny I believe my '62 to be correct. From the front of the car, from the groove on the lug wrench to the rivet for the clamp is 17 and half inches, from the groove on the jack handle to the rivet it's 19 inches. The clamp was installed before paint so it's painted but the foam pads were not.
