And I quote from one e-mail: "Make The steps That eBay Learn You".
This scam is a bogus "Second Chance Offer" to buy an expensive item on which you unsuccessfully bid. It comes in the form of an e-mail after the auction closes.
The tip-off is that it asks you to reply to the e-mail to buy the item. A legitimate "Second Chance Offer" from the real seller would direct you to an eBay auction page where you would do a "Buy-It-Now".
I recently bid on a '65 FI system in Georgia. I was outbid in that auction by several hundred dollars. After the auction closed, I received scam "Second Chance Offers" from three different crooks.
