Turn signal problem

The right turn signal will not stay up on my 67.New turn signal switches
are currently not available,however a replacement cancelling cam is available
from Shee-Mar.Has any one corrected this problem by replacing the cam only?

I'm puzzled by your comment that new turn signal switches are not available. When working on the column of my '65, I found that the turn signal switch was defective.

I replaced it with one from LIC that seemed like a dead-ringer for the original for $35. I haven'd powered up the car to check it, but I'm sure that it is fine.

I had the same experience as Gene with my '64. LIC has the part. Is the '67 switch different in some way from the earlier C2's?

67 has hazard switch built in *NM*

67 has a "lane change feature" Don't know if that existed in prior years....

I believe that switch is unique to 1967-68 with the introduction of the four-way flashers in 1967 and the move of the ignition switch to the steering column in 1969. See pic below for the broken "leg" on mine. The cancelling cam is held in place by a sort of hollow rivet. I could not figure out to get it apart and back together so that it would operate properly so I wimped out and bought from Shee-Mar. That was two years ago based on a tip from the people here on the board. I guess it is now discontinued there as well.

If Shee-Mar is selling the cam then they must know how to install it? Might be worth a 'phone call.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Steve due to what you have seen I wiil probably
wait until the car is put away for the season before opening it up for a look.
The car is still very useable the way it is. Mike
