Has GM ever added their Engine Oil Supplement, PN1052367, as factory fill for engine break-in on new Corvettes? If they did it before, do they still do it? Anyone know?

Chuck------
Engine Oil Supplement was not added to any 1963-82 Corvette. Whether it was used before or after that time, I don't know. However, I STRONGLY doubt that it was ever used in PRODUCTION.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Engine Oil Supplement - PN1052367
Thanks, Joe.
I was just curious. I just changed the factory-fill Mobil 1 in a 2006 with 1200 miles...the oil was very dark (black) and almost opaque. It looked like it had been run at least 5K or more. The dark color of the oil made me wonder if they ever put in a molybdenum disulfide additive at the plant to reduce break-in wear.- Top

The directions on the label tell you to use it as an assembly lubricant...in fact they now call it E. O. S. Assembly Lubricant. Did you use it when building the motor, Clem, or did you add it to the oil for start-up?- Top
