If I could find one of those GMC COE's to haul my car hauler, I would buy one in a New York minute!

John, browse the pages of the American Truck Historical Society, ATHS. The bubble nose GMC's show up quite often. Shucks after browing the web pages ya might even want to join. It is not uncommon for us to have 7-800 trucks at our conventions..all 25 years old and older.

The American Truck Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of trucks, the trucking industry, and its pioneers. Join ATHS today!

            Dick,
Thanks for the link! I have been looking for an older truck for sometime to turn into a car hauling tractor. I am looking for something that maybe is missing the drivetrain, so I won't feel too bad about modernizing the mechanicals on the truck.

            Regards, John McGraw

John, there is a gentleman is Amarillo, Tom Warren, that messes with these old beasts quite a bit. He might put you on a truck

                    Hey John:

You see a lot of older (30s-40s) ton and a half or so trucks that have had the old sheet metal retrofitted onto a modern chassis and made into car haulers. They always have a lot of pictures in Street Rodder and similar magazines from some of the Goodguys shows and other street rod events.

I think that's just what you need for your cars.
