    C2 ignition switch 67

I can remove my ignition key in all positions. Is their a fix? How can I remove it from dash? Replace or fix? I have original key & assume switch is also. I was advised to try to remove & wrap paper around inside?????????

    Thanks for any advise. Don

Typically the result of internal wear to the lock mechanism OR the key + keys that have been cut by copying vs. cut from code tend to 'wander' from correct cuts in terms of depth & placement.

How to remove the ignition from your dash...follow the proceedures outlined in your copy of the Chassis Service Manual. Insert key, turn counter clockwise and insert a release tool (paperclip, Etc.) into the release hole in the lock bezel. Remove the lock cylinder and now the ignition switch can be withdrawn though its dash mounting hole.

A competent locksmith should be able to help you from there.
