My '64 coupe has a 80 psi oil gauge and a 6500 rpm tach. In addition, the forward bulkhead (where the radiator is mounted) has a hole on the left side for FI air source. The car is not a numbers matching all original vehicle and does not have FI badges on the fenders. I've assumed that the car is either a 360 hp or FI version, but which?? Are there any other tell-tail items that could help to identify my car's original configuration.
what have I got?

Depends on how much of the forward
fiberglass is original and how much is new since the car was built. The radiator support you speak out was the generic replacement for many years for both carbureted and FI cars. If you have original fenders = s365 HP; brand new front clip =s looking for more clues.- Top

Re: what have I got?
The 6500 redline tach was used on the 365 hp engine also, which is more likely what you have if there are no holes in the fenders for the FI emblems. Look at the Rad support closely, as the FI support was the GM replacement for all '64-65 Corvette smallblock applications. There are minor differences in the manner in which the crossbrace in front of the rad was secured on the service vs original FI supports. Also, the inner fender on the drivers side will have three holes where the air cleaner was mounted on a "real" FI car.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: what have I got?
There are several holes in the left front inner fender where the FI air filter might be mounted. Is there a particular pattern for these holes?? As for the radiator support, I'm currently not certain whether it's a replacement or not. I just bought the car 10 days ago and haven't had time to put it up on a rack to get a good inspection of the front. Personally, I think the car has experienced front end repair - how extensive is unknown. This guess is based on the looks of inner fiberglass that I saw while making adjustments to the headlights. I also know there are some brackets missing from the grill and the front bumpers, such as the front license plate mounting assembly. I'll know a lot more after a lift on the rack. Pls let me know about the hole pattern for the FI filter.
