1966 427 Side Pipe overs

What is safe to use for cleaning and polishing my 1966 side pipe covers.

I just use water and a soft rag fro the covers. Do not use caustic chemicals or abrasive materials. Be careful not to get any pastes in the cooling slots as the black insulators will be a bear to stay dark. Hope this helps.

-----Since the finish of a stock sidepipe cover is clear anodizing there is little other than cleaning with mild products that you can use. You can use tar-remover to get rid of that stuff and fairly strong soap but nothing that could dull the anodizing as you will quickly find yourself going backwards. hope this helps!.......Bill S
