    69 T.I coil

I am currently running an aftermarket coil , red in colour , i believe a blaster by an aftermarket co, the 435 seems to run ok other than a little rough on start up , untill it warms up . I have read the non T.I coils have a different ohm resistance than the standard point style . I ask if it is ok to run this coil and why it seems to run alright even though it is not this specified coil . Can i assume the performance would be better with the specific coil for T.I and are the advertised T.I coils by goat hill and Central correct or are they just over priced generics? Thanks

    Re: 69 T.I coil

most aftermarket electronic ignition coils will work the a TI system. the TI coil resistance readings are, pri .35/.55 ohms and the sec. 8000/12,500 ohms. a std points coil readings are pri 1.02/1.13 ohms and sec 8000/10,500 ohms
