Evening!
If the original owner of my '63 Vette suddenly found all their paperwork, I would be ecstatic to think that they would try to contact me to pass it along.
This weekend, I found all the original paperwork (sales receipts, delivery paperwork, window sticker, service records, old photos) of my wife's 1980 Z-28. This was the last of the old 350ci / 4-spd cars, and she (we) really loved it.
In 1987, we moved to a very rural area, and would you believe my '63 had no problem coming down our dirt road, but the Z would severely bottom out. So regrettably, we decided this pampered gem had to go before we damaged it.
All we remember is that she sold it to a guy from NYC (far enough away where she would never see it again and start to cry!). Back in 1987, no one cared about original paperwork.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to locate the present owner. Is there a Camaro or Z-28 forum like our forum here perhaps? Google was waaaay too helpful (a bazillion hits).
We would like to REALLY REALLY make someone's day! Thanks!
Pete
