    1972 tank stricker found

I have just acquired the tank sticker for a 1972 coupe. Would be interested in reuniting the tank sticker with the car (assuming it still exists).

Tank sticker is 95% readable and has the following info:

    Date Received: 72/05/23
    Exp. Date of Prod.: 72/06/05
Order Number: TPR602 (what it looks like)
    Zone No.: Unreadable
Dealer No.: ?92 (not sure what first character is)
    19437 Corvette Coupe
    Paint: 972 Classic White

    Options
    ZQ3 Standard Engine
    3:08 rear axle ratio
    M40 Turbo Hydramatic
    A31 Power Windows
    C60 Air Conditioning
    J50 Power Brakes
    N37 Tilt Telescopic Steering Wheel
    N40 Power Steering
    F70 x 15 White Lettered Tires
    U69 AM/FM Radio
    Black Vinyl Interior

    Spec Inst / Tire
    Goodyear Tire Mandatory

Job Number (in pencil) is 200.

Car was bought new in North East Alabama (Fort Paine, I believe). Last known location is Massachusetts.

Anyone know of a car like this?

There goes the exp. date of production rule...

There goes the Friday rule for expected date of production. 72/06/05 was a Monday.

The question is, is it real? Based on some of the BS I've seen recently, I'd suspect ANY tank sticker.

To it's credit, this sticker is not for a completely optioned "ONE OF ONLY ONE!!" (oh, please gag me!) car.

The Friday rule has only been proven conclusively for midyears (as yet). If it's a '72 sticker, it should have the car's VIN on it (I think); I believe Terry M. indicated in a previous thread that the VIN was added to the tank sticker in mid-1971, unless I've had another CRS attack

          VIN

You remember correctly John. It will be the mirror image of the VIN and the key codes. Generally on the lower 1/3 of the page.

            Re: VIN

Did not see a VIN number. I'll check again when I get home.
