Does anyone know if full size 1963 Chevy upper and lower control arms are identical to 1965 C2 control arms?? It has been asserted that Chevy just pulled standard parts off the shelf to save development costs on the mid-year chassis. Thanks for any info.

As Bill mentioned, the upper arms are the same. This includes not just 63 passenger cars, but 1958-64 passenger cars. The upper arms for all of these are the same as the upper arms for all 63-82 Corvettes. While the arms are the same, the ball joints supplied as an integral part of the SERVICE assembly did change about 1964, or so.
The basic structure and stampings for the lower arms are the same, too. However, there are some differences with respect to the finished arm assemblies that make them non-interchangeable. If I recall correctly, it may have to do with the sway bar brackets or, possibly, something else.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
