Kevin. This has been covered pretty extensively in times past on this board. You may want to check the archives.

Re: 1967 300hp intake manifolds?
Kevin. I wish I could be more help to you on your VIN. I also have a '67 300 hp car, but my car was built June 13, '67. Incidently, my intake is dated E227 (May 22, 1967).
Good luck on your quest.

Kevin. If you send me your email address, I'll send you a scan of the date on my intake.

Re: 1967 300hp intake manifolds?
Kevin,
My intake manifold for a late June 67 (June 29, 1967), is G 2 6 (July 02, 1966).
It was also stamped GMST or GM3T, whatever that means.
Here's the link to that post about the manifold dates:
Hope this helps.

Re: 1967 300hp intake manifolds?
Just to add to the confusion and I am speaking somewhat from memory. Among others, I have owned three very original '67 300 horse cars.
All mid-April builds, within seven days. The earliest car had an intake casting date of (Dec.) L-?-'66, the middle one was the J something and the latest one has a date of E-10-66. Strange, the otherwise similarities of the cars just occurred to me, that all three were Powerglides and two had A/C.
Could this be another example of why the holy grail is simply referred to as a "Judging GUIDE"

Re: 1967 300hp intake manifolds?
Thanks Jerry,
Already found that post and copied it. I replied to that post and I'm never surprised when you post about finding another original part, I know you car, from what I've read if you stopped right now you'd Top Flight for sure!
I know you've ordered dated repops for plug wires and hoses but from now on don't worrie about date and original go with current replacement and take the hit. I'm telling you this because I know how much you like to drive your car. You'll always get driving points and won't have to change half your car when you get to the meet, worked for me. Lets talk about Texas in Aug.

Re: 1967 300hp intake manifolds?
Kevin,
Been thinking about driving to Flagstaff in April, Houston is a little too far a drive for me.
But I would like to make Top Flight without the mileage points, just for my own satisfaction. As you know, I've got a lot of memories in my 67. I remember bringing it across the country at age 24, with all its original parts (except for one muffler which I lost in Kansas City). Now at age 60, I'm just having fun restoring the parts I took off over the years.
The Elk Grove judging last September was a kick in the pants for me. Now I've my list of deducts and priorities to work on. More fun!
The clock is next. I saved the original movement when I converted to quartz a some years ago. If it weren't for the clock, one non-blinking light bulb, and adjustments to the horn button, I would have been perfect in operations.
I'd like to make Top Flight even with my dinged out original paint job with primer showing, Vintage Air and all.
