Power Brake booster removal

Gentlemen, I'm getting ready to remove my duel master cyl. and power brake booster on my '65, 365hp,sb. I want to re-plate the booster. If you have any tips, shortcuts, or how-to's I would appreciate it. Its one thing I haven't done before.(1st Vette with power brakes) Thanks! Bob#23737

Bob, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Removal of the brake booster is pretty straight-forward. There are a number of vendors that can rebuild and optionally replate the unit, including (I believe) the following:

Master Power Brake 706-802-1683 http://www.mpbrakes.com

Booster Dewey 503-238-8882 (inexpensive; I have had boosters rebuilt here, but not replated, though he advertises he can do that)

Power brake Service 213-802-1682 (old reference, did one for me about 10 years ago, including replating... nice work)

It is very easy as I took mine off a few weeks back. I sent mine to Booster Dewey but have not received it back yet (he sent me a card when it arrived). I have friends who have used him before and they were very satisfied. Don H.
