Fairly new to NCRS, so please forgive my ignorance. I know that the location for the National meet changes every year, and I thought the Winter regional was always in the same location in Florida. My region (2) had it's regional in Cincinnati this year, but I don't see a Cincinnati meet for 2006. Do the regional meets change location yearly? If so, does a chapter in the region host the meet?

Re: REGIONAL MEETS
Regional meets are limited in number each year with the BoD (Board of Directors) choosing from a pluarity of proposals submitted each year by various individual NCRS chapters or consortiums of NCRS chapters who get together to jointly sponsor/propose a Regional meet. As such, Regional meets will 'move' around the country both in time of year and physical location based on the decision of the BoD to accept individual proposals. BoD considerations for granting a Regional meet proposal include: physical location (is this a 'fresh/new' place?), cost structure (will proposed facilities be affordable to the membership at large), and timeliness (have we been there before recently? do the proposed dates of the Regional conflict with other club activities already scheduled?), Etc.
Chapters are free to set their own local meet schedules. But, these should be scheduled such that there's no time conflict with the chapter meet and a previously scheduled/approved Regional/National meet). You'll find the schedule of Regional/National meets published on the back page of your copy of Driveline magazine along with various chapter meet schedules as they become available....- Top
