I have a 72 and the vin is not on the sticker nor is there a place for one. Have you figured out all the codes I have not on mine. Any ideas on where to find what the codes mean.
There is no "place" for it on the preprinted form. The VIN and key codes will telegraph through from the other layers of carbon paper. It shows as a mirror image. It may be printed on the back of the sheet. I see it on photo copies I received when I was team leader, so I can not tell you for sure it is on the reverse, but I think it is. If the paper is well faded or deteriorated it may be hard/impossible to see.
