I'm in the process of putting a 1955 back into "driver" condition. The previous owners raced the car in the 70's and 80's, stripping out much of the origional parts and relocating engine compartment electrical components to suit the new engine set up. I would like to find a firewall diagram to see what holes are origional and what they were for and fill the ones that were made by prior owners. Additionally, is there a good source of photos that show engine compartment detail on a '55? Most photos I have seen in popular sources show the same angles missing lots of bracket locations and electrical as well as heater hose routing, etc.The only '53-'55 Vette I know of in Reno NV is a '53 6 cylinder in the National Auto Museum, I want to see what a V-8 compartment looks like. Any help would be appreciated. Anybody have photos they could attach and email? Thanks!

Re: I should be able to hook you up...
Dave tanks so much! I'd like to see where the heater box was mounted, coil, voltage regulator and washer bag. Also, resistor and horn regulator would be great! Any shots shopwing firewall and inner fenderwell details would be a great help! Your image came through very well. Thanks again!
Wow! A family owned 1955! What great forsight to keep it in the family! That is my plan for mine, even though the valve has been greatly reduced due to it's previous owners, I want mine for my kids. I have had the car since 1980's, I won't give up on it.
