    66 BB Copper Radiator Painting

    Hi Group;
    Doing a complete resto of my car '66BB. I had to have the copper BB radiator recored (copper core), which looks great with the original tanks. The glitch is I'm trying to repaint it using Eastwood, Rad.Blk, Heat Dissipating paint. When I spray the paint I get a lot of contamination spot "Birds-Eyes" showing up immediately. No problem, probably wax from the flux. Cleaned with PPG 330 wax and grease cleaner - Birds-eyes again. Used Lacquer Thinner, then Acetone, then just soap and water still Birds-Eyes? Looked in the archives no data on contamination. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

    1. You might try some very light coats and build the layers....
    2. Check the paint on another item to make sure it isn't the paint......
    3. try shaking can for a long time for a complete mix........
    4. precoat with a light layer of "BULLDOG" adhesion promoter... available at PEPBOYS or other automotive shops.

      "Fish eyes" can be eliminated by heating the part prior to paint. Use a heat lamp on the radiator and it will dry the paint before it has a chance to fish eye.

      You have some cotamination, somewhere.
