    C2 hinge pillar brace color

About to put my glove box back to original, need felt liner! Removed entire box and have found that hinge and other brace needs some paint. The hinge pillar brace (trim tag and serial plate attached here) appears to be black on botton and side (except where tags are) however the top seems to have only recieved and over spray of black. The entire surface is ruff (black but ruff) except the very outboard end which shows some green.
Would tend to paint entire brace semi black, but if the top should be ruff as it came from the factory I'll leave it alone. The other surfaces still have a decent black finish so if top should be ruff why make new? Have done a search of past postings, but nothing to point.
It is a good idea to take some pictures behind the glove box since it has not been played with since 1967. Thanks in advance

Green Zinc chromate all over, some body color on the outer end, then a black spraying to the face. Various coverages on different cars. Then grinder marks to bare metal if it was a welded tag.

      Thanks
It appears that the top surface (ruff area) must be the zinc chromate with over spray from front and some dirt. I think it will be just cleaned and left. The other parts I believe will be painted with semi black, is that OK.
