Is there an improved a/c fan motor for a 75 Corvette? One that puts out more ait than the stock unit?

Re: 75 a/c fan motor
Are you sure the old one isn't just running slow? I've seen them with the bushing end caps full of hardened grease and shavings such that they run like the brakes are on.
Also, dirty fans move less air. Occasionally, the blades are really packed with crud.
And check that al the seals are tight. Air leaks let the pressure drop such you think the fan isn't running.- Top

Re: 75 a/c fan motor
There is a way to get more volume.. Purchase a C-4 fan and motor. Make a spacer the thickness of the difference in the fans to space the motor out. this spacer can be made out of plywood. You will have to make an adapter to connect the wiring. I am getting ready to try this on a 72.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: 75 a/c fan motor
Since AC becamse standard in '79, they may have increased the fan by then to keep the people happy. But since AC was already a high percentage of sales, the fan may have already been at as high a capacity as they made by 1975.
If you were on a '68 or '69 AC car, I'd say the mid '70s probably pushed more air because the air seems much harder on my '79 than my '68 ever had.- Top
